If life gives you lemons, make lemonade, and if rains on your wedding day, buy fun umbrellas! May in Missouri is no stranger to rainy days, but that doesn't stop the beauty of a St. Louis weddings. We were blessed again to have a good patch of sunshine at Forest Park and then headed to City Cottage on Chouteau for Colin and Becca's wedding. Among the adoring family and friends was Becca's amazing grandma. Bending close, face to face, she shared her prayers and words of love and wisdom though out the day. These precious moments were a true blessing to witness. It was an elegant and laid back evening, with amazing food by Catering St. Louis, cupcakes by The Cup, and a Lego bride and groom sporting collegiate pride, to top them off. We were so thankful to be there and honored to tell Becca and Colin's wedding day story.

Lucas and Abby were married this summer. The whole gorgeous event was held at City Cottage on Chouteau. With vintage, french themes accented in coral and turquoise, from the flowers to the macaroons, the elegance was breathtaking. The couple? Simply enchanting. Abby stunned in her 40's hair style, and gown from BHOLDN. She arranged all the flowers herself. Lucas, so dapper and relaxed was a most gracious host. It is always a pleasure to be a part of a Hegar family event. This is the third wedding I have been a part of for their family and I couldn't be more honored or thankful to witness such a beautiful marriage come to be. Their friends were a key part of the event. From the officiating, to the music, all the participants are important to Abby and Lucas. Watching everyone tare up the dance floor is a spectacular thing to witness. It was a day worth celebrating and dancing and a blessing to be a part of. He makes her smile. She takes his breath away. They laugh together. Here is just a taste of what being there was like.
