    Galentine’s Day Portraits at MoBot

When Bianca contacted me, she wanted to book a surprise engagement session for her and her fiance. We planned the date and location based on the height of spring foliage at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Six months later Bianca was no longer engaged, but kept the photography session. She brought her best friend. The two explored and laughed and found so much joy together. Nothing is waisted. We have different loves of our life and they can all be celebrated.

Honoring Family History: A Wedding at The Noble

Monica and Jeff were married on a hot day in June. They day was playful and full of happy tears, as vowed to stay best friends, and continue to devote themselves to being a family. The cake and flowers were gifts from family members, and their little bottles of their favorite hot sauce were given out as favors. The Noble has become of my favorite wedding venues in St. Louis. With it’s impeccable light, and brilliant architecture, it provides a myriad of backdrops for the whole wedding day. The art deco charm tied into the elegant feel of the floral arrangements and table decor. Monica and Jeff chose the the…

It may seem like it is a little late for a “Best of 2022” post, but it is not. Sometimes it takes me a month to rest and reflect on the million miles an hour the past year has been. January was filled with celebrations and challenges alike. This winter has been a season to recover and regroup. Looking back on this past year, I am fully aware that I have an incredible life and I get to do incredible things. If there is something that I want to be doing and people I want to be doing it with, I have the ability to plan the thing, and invite…

Happy New Year! I am back at my desk and can’t wait to see what happens next! 2021 went flew by, but not without some really beautiful moment. These are some of the images that fed my soul this year. We celebrated new life and made space for second chances. I witnessed friends be exceptional storytellers. I was mesmerized by seniors who I have know since they were children, step boldly into the people are becoming. I have prayed deep thanks for friends thriving and joyful, when only last year I didn’t know if they would still be alive. I found light and laughter and love in the faces and…

  • The One Where It Snowed in April – Styled Wedding Shoot – Majorette

One of my 2020 goals, was to gather some of my favorite wedding pros and host a styled shoot. Not everything last year went as planned, but this spring I was able to make this goal a reality. My visions was to a bright, whimsical feel, in this new spring season. We have been in the dregs of winter for so long, I wanted to find a symbolic and artistic departure from the gloom of this past year. The original idea was to focus the concept on the Majorette’s fanciful patio. Inspired by blush pinks and dusty blues of spring, I wanted to bring a little fairytale feel to this…
